Voiliers Spectacle - The Navigators on Canada Day 2011

I went to the Granville Island on Canada Day in the afternoon and shot a series of photos of this Voiliers Spectacle performance. I chose part of the photos and posted here. You may check out other performance dates here.

On a voyage around the world, French acrobats Franck and Delphine are sailing into Vancouver to present two unusual silent productions, using mast, boom, ridding and other parts of their sailboat as stage to exhibit their acrobatics prowess.

The Navigators is inspired by silent films and is a parody of navigational maneuvers that pokes fun at the mishaps of maladroit navigators.

All photos were taken with Nikon D300 + Nikkor AF-S ED 80-200mm f2.8D; A mode at f2.8, 1EV under ISO200(i.e. ISO100) and AF-C.
